Are you a boy or girl between the ages of 8 and 18? Do you enjoy singing, performing and traveling with other young people who share your interests?
Then join Youth pro Musica: The Greater Boston Youth Chorus!
Our principal works in recent seasons have included Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, Faure’s Messe Bass, and Davidson’s I Never Saw Another Butterfly as well as choral music spanning four centuries. In recent seasons, YpM members have appeared in a world premiere and made a professional recording with other choruses, including one from Germany, performed Carmina Burana with Chorus pro Musica at Jordan Hall in Boston, and performed at Faneuil Hall at a fundraiser for a charity called “Pitching in for Kids”.
YpM has traveled to sing in New York City and Montréal, Canada.
In past years, YpM has collaborated with Masterworks Chorale, Nashoba Valley Chorale, and other area groups on works such as St. Matthew Passion and Carmina Burana. If any of this interests you, we encourage you to come and audition!

YpM offers three choral groups ( our 2021-22 season differs due to health protocols):
- Training Chorus: Girls & boys, approximately grades 2-5
Rehearsal: Tuesday, 4:30 – 5:30 pm - Repertory Chorus: Girls & boys with unchanged voices, grades 5-8
Rehearsal: Tuesday, 6:00 – 7:30 pm - High School Ensemble: Girls & boys with changed voices, grades 9-12
Rehearsal: Tuesday, 7:45–9:15 pm
Rehearsals are held Newton, MA.
